Welcome to Fall shopping in Trader Joe’s!
Who would have thought I used to dislike this store and didn’t want to shop there. I don’t do my weekly groceries there but I visit the store for specific products.
Trust me you want to see this stuff (and buy it)!
Cinnamon Bun Spread
This one is probably my favorite item I bought! I know, it’s not the healthiest but I didn’t go for healthy shopping. The goal was to get some of the seasonal goods.
I love it on pancakes or waffles for breakfast. I’ve tried it on a banana (instead of PB) but I’m not a huge fan of that combination. It tastes even better if you add some raspberries on the waffles/pancakes. You can use frozen raspberries just defrost them a few hours before.
German Chocolate Cake Beer
That what happens when you crave a cake 😀 I usually don’t drink beers that have any kind of taste, besides normal beer taste 😉 but I had a feeling about this one and I wasn’t disappointed. It tastes delicious!
Everything but bagel spread
The everything but bagel spice mix is life. I love it so much! Everything tastes better with it. This spread is ok but I am not too crazy about it. I can definitely live without it.
I got two ready sauces Vodka sauce and Autumn Harvest sauce. The Harvest one was delicious and I highly recommend it! I haven’t had the chance to try the Vodka one yet.
I think shopping in the frozen section is my favorite part of doing groceries at Trader Joe’s. They have a lot of yummy options that you cannot find anywhere else.
This time I got:
– Cauliflower Gnocchi which I had before and I love it!
– Cauliflower Stir Fry – perfect substitute for rice! I use it when I want to save on calories and carbs 😉 This one is only 50 kcal per serving and it’s just cauliflower and other veggies.
– Stuffed Gnocchi – another gnocchi, this time sweet potato stuffed with tomatoes and mozzarella. ‘i hope it’s as yummy as it sounds! I will let you know as soon as I try it.
– Broccoli & Cauliflower Gratin
I’ve never tried this before but it looks delicious so I’ve decided to give a try. I think it will be a great side dish. Let me know if you had it before and how you ate it.
– Chimichurri Rice
This one is one of my favorites. It makes a perfect quick lunch or dinner. I usually add some steamed broccoli and chicken to it. Mix and fry all together.
An alternative to Kodiak pancakes which I am excited to try! So far I am finishing the Kodiak Pumpkin Flax mix (which I love). This one is next on my breakfast list so stay tuned!
Peanut Vinegratte Sauce
Because I am too lazy to make my own peanut sauce 😉 Also this one seems to be lighter than the ones I usually make. I think it will be perfect with Thai Salad.
That’s all from my shopping cart this time. Let me know if you had a chance to try any of these items and what do you think!
