Coffee & Banana Oatmeal

On someday’s, you need an extra kick in the morning, that’ when Coffee & Banana Oatmeal comes to rescue!

What’s different about this oatmeal is that it tastes good even when it’s cold! I am not a fan of cold oats, that’s why I rarely eat overnight oats. But this one tastes like a cold brew coffee! It makes a perfect breakfast idea for hot summer days.

You can add all kinds of toppings. I think walnuts would taste great here; I decided to go with almonds just because that’s what I had in my pantry. You can also swap the banana with any other fruit of your choice. I think a pear, mixed berries will taste great there. I like the banana here, as it adds a bit of sweetness.

If it comes to coffee, it is entirely up to you. What kind of coffee you want to use it and how you prepare it. I used an instant coffee, but feel free to use pour-over, espresso, or French press, just not more than 1/2 cup; otherwise, the oatmeal will be really liquid.

 ½ tsp coffee
 ½ cup water
 5 tbsp oats
  cup almond milk
 1 banana
 1 tsp honey
 1 tsp almonds

Brew the coffee.

Pour the coffee over the oats, add almond milk, and cook on medium heat.

Top the oats with sliced banana and almonds.
